Your student needs these four things to thrive in our immersive, Christ-centered program:

📖 Reading Ability Able to read at 5th grade level in English. Needed to engage with Spanish texts and Bible passages.

⏰ Time Available 40 minutes of homework 4 days/week + 90-minute live class weekly. Consistency is essential for language acquisition.

Ready for Spanish 1
For students with no Spanish background or very minimal exposure
You're ready for Spanish 1 if your child:
  • Has no ability to understand Spanish questions or statements
  • Has no Spanish vocabulary beyond a few random words
  • Cannot form sentences in Spanish
  • Is starting from zero (and that's perfect!)
By the end of Spanish 1, your child will:
  • Understand simple questions and statements in Spanish
  • Use familiar words and phrases on familiar topics
  • Combine words and phrases to create original sentences
  • Memorize foundational Scripture verses in Spanish
  • Be understood by someone accustomed to language learners
  • Know how to share basic Gospel truths in Spanish
Ready for Spanish 2
For students who understand simple Spanish but need practice and expansion
You're ready for Spanish 2 if your child:
  • Can understand simple questions and statements (may need to hear things again)
  • Uses familiar words and phrases on familiar topics
  • Can elaborate a little beyond basic phrases
  • Wants to expand range and depth
By the end of Spanish 2, your child will:

  • Use a variety of words and phrases on a broader range of topics

  • Uses a variety of words and phrases on a range of familiar topics
  • Can give details and elaborate comfortably
  • Is ready for more complex communication
By the end of Spanish 3, your child will:
  • Understand the main idea and most details in conversations on familiar topics
  • Consistently use expanded vocabulary across many topics
  • Use connected sentences to narrate, describe, or explain
  • Begin to communicate in paragraph-length responses
  • Engage in deeper biblical discussions in Spanish
